Privacy Policy

Last updated June 30, 2026

This is a starting template, not legal advice. Have a qualified attorney review it against the laws that apply to you (for example GDPR, CCPA/CPRA) before you rely on it.

1. Overview

This policy explains what information 6 Doors Down (the “Service”) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to landlords who hold accounts and to the tenant information those landlords store in the Service.

2. Information we collect

We collect account information you provide (name, email, optional business name and phone), the property, unit, tenant, lease, and financial records you enter, and technical data such as log and usage information generated when you use the Service.

3. Tenant information

Landlords may store personal information about their tenants. In that context the landlord is the controller of that information and is responsible for having a lawful basis to collect and store it; 6 Doors Down processes it on the landlord’s behalf to provide the Service.

4. How we use information

We use information to provide and improve the Service, authenticate accounts, process subscription payments, send transactional email (such as verification, receipts, and reminders), provide support, and comply with legal obligations.

5. Service providers

We share information with vendors that help us operate the Service, such as our hosting and database provider, payment processor, and email-delivery provider. These providers may process information only to perform services for us.

6. Payment data

Subscription payments are handled by our payment processor. Card details are entered with and stored by that processor; 6 Doors Down does not store full card numbers.

7. Data retention

We retain account and account-related data for as long as your account is active. After cancellation or expiry, data is retained for a limited window (currently 30 days) to allow reactivation and export, after which it may be deleted. Some records may be kept longer where required by law.

8. Your choices and rights

You may access, correct, export, or request deletion of your account data. Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under laws such as GDPR or CCPA/CPRA. Requests can be made through your account settings or by contacting us.

9. Security

We use technical and organizational measures to protect information, including access controls and encryption in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by email.

11. Contact

Questions or privacy requests can be directed to your account administrator or to the contact address published on our website.
